What is the Advantage and Disadvantage of Truck Clutch

Clutch Definition -Working, Types, Uses, and various Advantages.

which clutch to get | TruckersReport.com Trucking Forum

The clutch is going out of my truck and I have it at the shop waiting for them to get at it. They are recommending putting a Lipe in it, should I go with this or stick with an Eaton easy pedal. Motor is a C15 with 475hp/ torque, but I'm thinking about having it turned up to 550-600hp in the near future. I want something that will last. I searched on here for Lipe clutches but most of the stuff I read was two years old or older.

I was going to go with an Eaton but the shop keeps lipe clutches in stock since that's what they run in their trucks and I'd be able to get my truck back quicker if I went with one. I'm usually loaded around 80-90k if it makes a difference.
some people don't like lipe. but that is all I use doing heavyhaul. get the ft lb rated clutch. it will push a little harder than the easy pedal but works great. just make sure they adjust it the right way.
Don't know if it makes a difference but I do a lot of stop and go and maneuvering around yards to get into loading chutes and that usually means I have to ride the clutch a bit more than I like.

Superhauler. I'll have to ask the shop what the torque rating is, but they said it's the heavy duty version that they put in their own trucks that have the engines turned up like I want to do to mine. I'm don't care too much about higher pedal pressure since I only use the clutch when starting/stopping and when easing into loading chutes. I just want something that will last longer than the reman clutch that was put in the truck right after I bought it. It only lasted 250k, which I think is unacceptable since prior to this failed clutch I've never had one go out in the 14yrs I've been driving.
it will do fine I do a lot of stop and go also. grossing an average of lbs. sounds like they use the same one I use. it actually is rated to handle ft.lbs. of torque.
No one I know has kept a lipe in their truck for long, mainly because they are too grabby, a standard easy pedal advantage would be my choice, I have put one through a good bit of abuse and it's still going, the guys I pull with that run a lipe clutch have gotten very good at changing clutches, the don't like to be slipped at all.

Do you know where your reman came from? I haven't seen a factory reman rated over .
The reman came from Ag parts out of Humboldt IA and is a clutch(at least that's what the work order said it was). I

was kind of in a jam when that clutch got replaced, I only had the truck for 20k and the input shaft snapped on the tranny and I had to get it fixed on the road at a place I hadn't used before. I figured since the tranny needed to be dropped I should just as well have them replace the clutch. I told them to put a new clutch in and didn't think to specify I wanted NEW and not reman since none of the local guys I use will touch a reman clutch. I didn't find out they put a reman in until I paid the bill.
