Safe to buy Chinese LED lighting from eBay?

Hi! We've been looking for an entryway chandelier that doesn't break the bank and came across some hanging led fixtures on eBay, shipped from Hong Kong. Does anyone have any experience installing direct-from-China led lighting? Do I need to worry about risk of fires? I've heard insurance may not cover fires started by non UL or NEMA (not sure which) certified appliances.
