ANNUALS AND BILLING

We are aware that many of you received a message regarding annual exams, medical problems and billing in your Elation passport account from another office.  We want to reassure you that your care will not change at Titan Healthcare.  It has ALWAYS been the case that annual exams are about prevention and not a time to review chronic medical problems or new complaints.  This is why annual exams are usually not subject to co-pays.  If we discuss chronic disease management or new complaints during an annual exam you will be subject to a co-pay and/or deductible for your visit just like you would for a regular office visit.  While we as a clinic get reimbursed less if you &#;add on&#; to an annual exam we will continue to provide services when warranted in order to serve the needs of our patients. 

That being said, it is good to keep in mind that if you bring in a list of concerns or problems to your annual exam you run the risk of not getting all of your needs met.  As providers we can only juggle so many issues at a time.  It might be in your best interest (and the best interest of your provider) if you schedule a separate visit for your chronic disease management or new concerns so that they can be addressed adequately and thoroughly.
